Now feeling a bit better/stronger from his stomach virus, Ethan started receiving the transfusion of gamma globulin this morning. He saw it necessary to use some well chosen four letter words (I am sure all pass down from his well spoken older Brothers) when the nurses came to do the honors with the needle. In any case, we are pleased he was able to receive this important treatment. This treatment will provide him with an extra boost to his immune system that will be critical for Friday’s operation.
The second session of the IVIG will now be scheduled for tomorrow morning. Earlier tomorrow morning, we will meet with his surgeons and anesthesiologists in order to go through the “pre-operative” meeting. At Ethan’s Neurologist’s recommendation, after tomorrow’s IVIG treatment, Ethan will enter/stay at the hospital. This will facilitate the logistics and make it a bit easier on Ethan for the early morning surgery.
